It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alexandra Lee Weckesser, who departed this life on September 1, 2025 at the age of 37, after a brave and valiant fight with cancer. Born on May 28, 1988 in Bayonne NJ, she was the devoted daughter of James and Nona Hughes.
Ally will be remembered for her infectious laughter, generous spirit and profound faith. A resident of Woodbridge, NJ, she touched the lives of many through her work as a nurse, a profession she truly loved. Beyond her career, Ally was passionate about being a dog mom to Roxy and Molly and Bob’s Burgers.
Ally is survived by her beloved husband, Justin Weckesser, loving sister, Angelina Ebreo (Michael Murray) and her nephew, Noah Murray. She is also survived by her in-laws Eugene, Josephine, and Karissa Weckesser, as well as many other family members here and in the Philippines. She was a friend to many and loyal to those she loved.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, September 4th at Dzikowski, Pierce & Levis Funeral Home, located at 24 East 19th Street in Bayonne NJ, 07002 from 3:00 – 8:00 pm.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, September 5th at St. Henry’s Church, located at 82 West 29th Street in Bayonne, NJ 07002.
Cremation private.
